I’m still buzzing after last night’s exciting concert with Winscombe Chorale and organist, Mark Hackerson, directed by Ian Hubbard, in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Yatton.
Haydn’s Little Organ Mass went beautifully and it was a real treat for me to also share Michael Head’s “The Singer” and Handel’s “Let the Bright Seraphim” with a very generous and appreciative audience.
The highlight of the night though was the premiere of Ian Hubbard’s “Venite, Exultemus Domino”, due to be published by Banks in June, which raised the roof and showed the choir at its absolute best.
