Weston Choral Society and Worle Youth Choir joined forces yesterday under the baton of Howard Sayer to perform a truly glorious “Gloria” with the wonderful orchestra, Ensemble Inspirata, to a sell-out audience at All Saints, Weston-super-Mare.
I was privileged to take part as the soprano soloist alongside the lovely Margaret Hopes, contralto. I also sang the Alleluiah from Mozart’s “Exultate Jubilate” with Ensemble Inspirata, which for me was a real joy.
As well as their stunning rendition of the Vivaldi, the orchestra and both choirs each provided their own interesting additions to the programme, all performed to the highest standards.
It was a truly exciting concert which showcased the best of Weston’s classical music scene.
